Press Release -- 10/3/2005 -- Catholic School For Me to Host Metro-East Catholic High School Fair

Catholic School For Me (CS4ME) - a group of parents in Southern Madison County who are committed to Catholic K-12 education - will host its first Metro-East Catholic High School Fair at St. John Neumann Catholic Grade School in Maryville on Sunday, October 16, 2005, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

High schools whose attendance is confirmed include Marquette Catholic High School in Alton, Althoff Catholic High School in Belleville, Mater Dei Catholic High School in Breese, St. Elizabeth Academy in St. Louis, Rosati-Kain High School in St. Louis, Trinity Catholic High School in St. Louis, Incarnate Word Academy in St. Louis, Notre Dame High School in St. Louis, and St. Louis University High School.

Families of students in 4th through 8th grade are encouraged to attend to learn more about the area Catholic high schools. Invitations will be sent to area Catholic grade school families through their schools.

CS4ME represents families primarily in the Edwardsville, Collinsville, Maryville, Glen Carbon, and Granite City areas of Illinois. This part of Madison county has 6 Catholic grade schools, but children from these schools do not attend Catholic high schools in significant numbers. CS4ME is hoping to change that by promoting current Catholic high school options to area parents and eventually founding a Catholic high school of its own in this growing area.

For more information about the event please contact Doug Villhard, CS4ME's spokesperson, at 618-288-8913 or villhard@thedouggroup.com.
